rochade-300x244[1]ROCHADE: Robust Checkerboard Detection

Robust and reliable detection of calibration patterns crucial to good calibration results. ROCHADE is a checkerboard detector which has been developed at Metrilus and the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. On this website we provide the paper (ECCV 2014), an educational MATLAB® implementation of ROCHADE, and evaluation data sets.

Feel free to download the evaluation data sets of the detection rate experiment presented in the paper. Of course, you are welcome to use the data for evaluating your own algorithms. The archive contains three image data sets, two of which have been captured with a stereo setup.

Note that this calibration pattern detector is also part of MetriCalibrate Intrinsic, our tool for calibration of a wide range of cameras. A demo of MetriCalibrate Intrinsic comes along with the free .NET SDK MetriCam.
